Car Movies Until You're Sick of Them!

I mean I like my Aston Martins too (and so does my friend Laurent Van Dessel), but this song is just ridiculous. Rick Ross doesn't deserve to own cars like this while I'm driving around in my Ford Ka. Bah! [watch video]

All the car makers are going green these days, but Mercedes-Benz really is going full on when it comes to cleanness. I guess making gas-guzzling saloons is getting old for TZE GERMANS. ^^
My friend John at MercedesTalk.net says he's not too happy with all this environmental stuff. He's been known to knock everything green, so I can't imagine he's going to like this post. ;-)

Fifth Gear (a succesful Top Gear clone) tests this spectacular Volkswagen BlueSport. The Volkswagen Blog calls it a stunner, I call it a great evolution for a great car maker! They also show the Porsche Panamera. I don't like that as much! ;-) [watch video]

The American car manufacturer Shelby recently declared the specs of its 2011 Shelby GT350 model. Through a press release, Caroll Shelby finalized that the new model, which is based on the Mustang, will be introduced to the market as an entry-level, naturally aspirated car. The GT 350 will be street-legal but capable of winning an SCCA race.
Should the consumers wish for a supercharger, they just need to add $7000 in the pot. Shelby recalled that when the GT350’s comeback was made known to the public, there was significant demand for a racing-capable car. This probably stems from the features of the Shelby GT, one of the most impressive pony cars ever developed with such a small engine.
Caroll Shelby said that the company’s customers generally want cars which can be allowed to compete in SCCA races. These races do not usually let vehicles with after-market superchargers participate. Meanwhile, other consumers also asked for an automatic gearbox for the car. For this reason, Shelby is offering more options for the GT350.
The basic GT350 is driven with a 5-liter V8 engine mated with a six-speed automatic transmission. In the kit, Shelby is also throwing in 6-piston caliper brakes which have 14-inch rators and an upgraded suspension, notably with parts imported from Ford Racing. The front end of the GT350 has a redesigned bumper and an added front splitter.
The rear fascia of the GT350 will also receive some modifications, with a tail light trim and new filler panels. Minus the price of the original Mustang GT, the GT350 package is pegged at $26,995. If you want the supercharged GT350 package, you can get it from retailers for $33,995.

Subaru sounded off a recall for the 2010 models of the Legacy and the Outback due to problems with the cooler hose of the CVT. According to reports filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or NHTSA, the car manufacturer is expected to recall about 29,443 vehicles.
The recall will involve units produced from 31 July through 1 December 2009. The problem is described as possible fluid leaks due to a crack in the cooler hose of the CVT. Subaru will still issue a statement to describe how the problem will compromise the safety of the vehicle. According to SubaruTalk.net, drivers shouldn't be too worried though...
The 2010 Outback was launched during the 2009 auto show in New York. The tag price starts at $22,995 and comes standard with VDC or Vehicle Dynamics Controls and the Hill Holder System.
The 2010 Legacy has a sticker price of $19,995 and comes with a McPherson strut, double-wishbone suspension for the rear, and stabilizer bars for both the front and tail end.

After dropping out of the Formula One late last year, BMW announced its intent to return to the Deutch Tourenwagen Masters (the German Touring Car Championship) beginning 2012. BMW told the public that it will be focusing its energies on the motorsports production-based line. However, certain conditions need to be met. BMW didn’t clarify what these conditions are, but they are probably talking about rule alterations.
BMW hasn’t participated in the Deutch Tourenwagen Masters since the middle of the 1990s. Audi and Mercedes are currently dominating the DTM field. However, BMW did compete in other touring car classes including the World Touring Car Championship.
According to recent reports, some technical developments have already been made with the DTM car. Apparently, the model will be based on the M3. With the DTM launch pegged in 2012, reviewers suspect that the next line of M3 vehicles will debut about a year earlier, in 2011. The current M3 model is already competing in GT2 races in Europe and North America. BMW also just recently launched a Z4 racer for the GT3 class.
Today’s M3 coupe is based on the E90 with a brand new 4.0 L V8 which can generate 414 horsepower and a torque of 295 pound-feet. The original M3 was first manufactured in 1986 sporting a boxy body and a high output 16V four-cylinder engine. The current M3 coupe was launched by the company in 2008.
This year, BMW also enjoys the “most valuable car brand” niche based on the Top 100 Brandz. The production of these high performance cars and several anticipated motorsport wins should keep the car manufacturer in that post.

I've driven the Nurburgring circuit in Germany myself, and when I see this guy take the Ferrari 599xx around the track, I just feel sick. I have to go back to driving school. Seriously.
Anyone feel like giving me some lessons? Anyone feel like giving me a Ferrari? :p ^^ [watch video]

The perfect example of how not to do a burnout. These guys rented a Corvette ZHZ from Hertz in Las Vegas, decided to hit a local parking lot and make a fool of themselves on Youtube. Funny stuff though! [watch video]
